This is a cross cutting theme in our projects where we teach children in school and the communities about protection of the environment. To achieve this, we teach on best methods of agriculture that protect the environment as well as encourage children and parents to grow trees in the community. We discourage traditional practices of using firewood to cook food, but rather promote the use of briquets as a best means of cooking that preserves the environment.
