The Child sponsorship program is our flagship project that connects sponsors to children in the community to support their education needs in the school. In this program, children who are deserving and living in vulnerable conditions that would have otherwise not enabled them to join school are identified by the community members, vetted and registered by the school.
Their needs are specifically identified which are mainly to support their stay in school. Profiles of these children are developed. Parents or surviving relatives in whose care these children are, are invited to consent to the participation of their children in the school sponsorship program. Sponsors are then invited to link with any of the children that have been identified and start the process of supporting their educational needs in school. The children participating in this program are mostly orphans, children under the care of their grandparents, children of single parents and children from homes that the community have identified as vulnerable.
